Plans are in the works for a complete transformation of Detroit’s historic Pick-Fort Shelby Hotel into a Doubletree Hotel after a major renovation.
The hotel, popular when it was built in the early 1900s but long-vacant, will undergo an $82 million refurbishment, emerging as a Doubletree in late 2008.
When it reopens, the property will house 204 guest rooms and 38,000 square feet of meeting space.
