William R. Wilson Jr., president and CEO of the Berkshire Visitors Bureau, located here, retired June 30.
Wilson spent 23 years as leader of the organization.
The bureau plans to initiate a search for Wilson’s successor. In the meantime, Ray E. Smith, the organization’s vice president of marketing and operations, will serve as acting CEO.
