$65 Million Restoration Planned for New Yorker Hotel

Construction is under way on a major restoration of the historic New Yorker Hotel, located in Midtown Manhattan.

The project, which is scheduled to finish in August 2008, will include upgrades to the property’s guest rooms, lobby, exterior, and dining outlets.

The hotel, which originally opened in 1930, offers 860 guest rooms. When the renovation is complete the property is planned to have 910 guest rooms.

The property houses 25,000 square feet of meeting space.
