The Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians plans to initiate an $800 million expansion to its Viejas Casino, located about 30 miles from San Diego in Alpine, Calif.
The expansion will include a new casino, a hotel, spa, conference space, retail outlets, and restaurants and will sit adjacent to the existing casino.
The new casino and resort are scheduled to open in 2012.
