Disney to Build Hawaiian Resort

Walt Disney Parks & Resorts plans develop its first non-theme park-related resort on the Hawaiian island of Oahu.

The resort is expected to open in 2011 on 21 acres of oceanfront property in the island’s Ko Olina Resort & Marina area.

The resort will be a mixed-use development and house more than 800 hotel/residential units as well as a yet-to-be-determined amount of meeting space.
