According to the San Diego CVB, attractions closed on Oct. 24 included the San Diego Wild Animal Park, SeaWorld San Diego, Harbor Excursions, Museum of Contemporary Art, Cabrillo National Monument, and Old Town Trolley/Seal Tours.
Several attractions are also closed at Balboa Park, including the Japanese Friendship Garden, San Diego Air & Space Museum, San Diego Automotive Museum, San Diego Model Railroad Museum, San Diego Museum of Man, and San Diego Natural History Museum.
The San Diego CVB plans to regularly update information on attraction closures and reopenings on its website, www.sandiego.org.
Meanwhile, the Doubletree Golf Resort San Diego has been evacuated due to the fires, but information on other area hotel evacuations or damage to tourism infrastructure was unavailable at press time.
Authorities have ordered more than 346,000 people in San Diego County alone to flee the fires. Qualcomm Stadium, home of the San Diego Chargers, was being used as a shelter for thousands of evacuees.
The blazes have already destroyed an estimated 1,500 buildings and homes and more than 900,000 people have been forced from their homes, according to local news reports.
