Wonders of Wildlife, the National Fish and Wildlife Museum located here, plans to begin a major renovation and expansion Dec. 3.
The museum currently operates the nearby Wildlife Galleries, and the expansion will bring the two entities together, expanding Wonders of Wildlife from 92,000 square feet to 150,000 square feet of space.
The facility will be closed for about six months during the project.
The museum has several space configurations for groups, from a lobby and a gallery to an area for receptions near its Community Pond Dive exhibit.
