$1.3 Billion Remodel Under Way at San Jose Airport

Crews are busy working on a complete renovation and rebuilding project at Mineta San Jose International Airport, and are scheduled to finish in mid-2010.

The project is slated to cost $1.3 billion and include the expansion of Terminal A to include additional concessions and ticketing counters. It will also include the construction of a Terminal B and the North Concourse.

In addition to the work on the terminals, the airport plans to revamp its surrounding roadways and demolish the existing Terminal C in 2010.

Construction is also scheduled to begin in December on a 3,350-space rental garage across the street from the airport. The garage is also scheduled to open in 2010.
