Starwood Hotels & Resorts plans to open the W Washington D.C. in 2009.
The hotel will sit in what is now historic Hotel Washington on Pennsylvania Avenue and 15th Street, directly across from the White House.
The property is slated to contain 317 guest rooms and 13,000 square feet of meeting space.
