The Greater Phoenix CVB promoted Mike Mooney to COO and hired Maribel Velazquez to regional director of sales.
A 20-year industry veteran, Mooney has worked for the bureau for the past 10 years in roles ranging from CFO to vice president of finance and operations.
Velazquez, who previously worked in the sales department at the Denver CVB, is based in the bureau’s Washington, D.C., office and starts Jan. 14.
