Plans are in the works for the construction of the Fairmont Avanterra, Palm Desert, scheduled to break ground in 2009.
The resort will be located next to the Classic Club golf course, home to the yearly Bob Hope Chrysler Classic.
Slated to open in 2011, the property is expected to house 300 guest rooms, 125 residences, 26,000 square feet of indoor meeting space as well as outdoor function space, and a spa.
