Hilton Hotels announced that redevelopment plans for the former Fairmont New Orleans will include a renovation in excess of $100 million for the historic property, which has been closed since Hurricane Katrina.
Upon its estimated reopening in late spring 2009, the property, which first opened in 1893, will be part of Hilton’s upscale Waldorf=Astoria Collection.
