The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel on Hawaii’s Big Island is on schedule to complete a $150 million makeover in time for a December reopening.
According to Paul Yokota, senior vice president for Prince Resorts Hawaii, many of the hotel’s long-term employees will be returning to the property, which closed down last year due to earthquake damage.
The adjacent Mauna Kea Golf Course will also reopen in December, following a renovation.
