Sacramento International Airport is beginning its largest expansion ever.
A 400,000-square-foot, four-story terminal will be built at the 40-year-old airport. A new separate 19-gate jet concourse will also be built, and a new tram will connect the two.
Airport executives will ask the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors for approval to take on a private partner, Denver-based Sage Hospitality Resources, to help build a Westin Hotel atop the new terminal.
