The new Pasadena Convention Center is on schedule to open in March 2009, the Pasadena CVB announced.
The $150 million expanded facility will include 60,000 square feet of new exhibit space, a new 25,000-square-foot ballroom and a 3,000-seat auditorium, among many new features.
Doug Finney will continue to direct the center’s event management, event services, parking and security, but will add the responsibility of heading up the food and beverage department in a newly created role as director of convention and catering services.
Naz Sabripour was named manager of events and catering services. She will assist Finney in the convention services and food and beverage operations. Sabripour formerly served as senior event manager at the facility.
