Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem is set to open May 22 here.
The resort is located about one hour from Philadelphia, on the former site of the historic Bethlehem Steel plant. The resort includes 3,000 slot machines and a variety of dining and entertainment options.
The development of the resort includes plans for 2,000 additional slot machines, 200,000 square feet of retail space and nearly 50,000 square feet of meeting space. The resort’s master plan also includes the future opening of a 300-room hotel. The complex will also feature a National Museum of Industrial History, SteelStax, and will serve as the home for a local PBS station.
