Connecticut’s green lodging program is expected to launch in May.
Participating properties will be required to complete a self-certification workbook, in which participants spell out in detail what they are doing in areas such as housekeeping, waste management, landscaping and maintenance, water conservation, energy management, environmental education, measurement and local purchasing.
Approximately 500 hotels, motels, inns and bed and breakfasts will be eligible to participate in the Connecticut Green Lodging program.
