Hyatt Regency Milwaukee is putting the finishing touches on its $19 million makeover.
Upgrades include revamped guest rooms, a new restaurant and lounge, and something the hotel has long needed, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, a lobby.
“The hotel never had a lobby," said Gerald Rappaport, the hotel’s general manager. “The kind of lobby where you could actually sit and converse.”
Until the remodeling, the hotel’s lobby was dominated by a sports bar and a restaurant that catered mainly to the breakfast crowd. The property is connected by skywalk to the Midwest Airlines Center convention facility.
