The W Fort Lauderdale, the first W hotel to be built in Florida, is open here.
The property includes 18,000 square feet of event space, including The Great Room, which can accommodate more than 400 guests. The state's second W hotel, W South Beach, is set to open in July in Miami Beach, Fla.
