The Hermosa Inn here is undergoing a multimillion-dollar revamp, which is expected to be completed in October.
Upgrades at the property include remodeling to retain its Old Arizona charm with new furniture, tile, carpet, artwork and bedding, as well as expanded and updated bathrooms. Additionally, the hotel’s four 1,400-square-foot villas will be converted into eight suites with connecting doors.
The hotel and the restaurant will remain open during the renovation. The boutique hotel was originally built in the 1930s by cowboy artist Lon Megargee as his home and studio.
