Colorado’s Westin Riverfront Earns Green Marks

The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa here was awarded Silver LEED certification, making the hotel the first in the state to earn the honor and only the ninth hotel in the U.S. to achieve Silver LEED status.

The resort, which is situated eight miles west of Vail, is the first Silver LEED certified hotel in the Westin brand. The hotel features many eco-friendly elements, including electricity from wind power, free gondola transportation service, green building materials and other green components.

The hotel includes more than 4,200 square feet of indoor meeting space and 4,000 square feet of outdoor meeting space.
