Northern Kentucky Convention Center officials are seeking to expand the center here despite the continued economic downturn.
Officials plan to push for an expansion project to be included in the two-year budget the Kentucky State Legislature will draft in its next session beginning in January. The estimated cost of the expansion is $51 million, and it would take 18 months to complete.
The facility currently features approximately 111,000 square feet of space, including a ballroom, exhibition hall and 10 meeting rooms, but some clients have said they are outgrowing the old space.
