Balmaquien Hospitality plans to build a 160-room beachfront hotel here, with completion set for 2011.
The hotel would be situated directly across from the Shoppes at Palm Pointe and will feature garage parking, a pool bar and a walkway built over sand dunes. Additional amenities include a second-floor fitness center with Gulf of Mexico views, an indoor pool and 5,000 square feet of meeting space. The developer did not disclose the official name of the hotel.
