Report Reveals Declines in Exhibition Industry

The Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) released its CEIR Index report for the third quarter, which shows that the exhibition industry experienced an overall drop of 13.5 percent over the same quarter of 2008.

It marks the sixth-consecutive quarter of declines for the exhibition business.

Metrics are Net Square Feet (down 16.2 percent); Revenue (down 22.0 percent); Professional Attendance (down 2.5 percent); and Number of Exhibiting Companies (down 13.4 percent).
