Suya Davenport resigned as head of Florida’s Lee County Visitor and Convention Bureau (VCB), effective Dec. 10.
Davenport, who joined the bureau two and a half years ago, said she wants to return to the hotel industry. The county will likely conduct a national search for Davenport’s replacement. In the meantime, Tamara Pigott, the bureau’s deputy director, will serve as head of the VCB until a new director is selected.
