The new Association of the Future (AOTF), a mock association, has been designed to engage association professionals in testing possible responses to the challenges and opportunities identified in ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership’s ongoing trends research.
“This is another opportunity to gauge the impact of environmental trends on our community and a great leadership opportunity for our young professional members,” said ASAE & The Center President and CEO John H. Graham.
“We hope this new project will produce tangible results, and once analyzed, benefit the entire association community,” Graham said.
AOTF includes 13 staff members representing various professional functions, including customer relations, financial operations, human resources, publications, technology, government affairs, meetings, professional development, membership, volunteer management, marketing and communications; a board of directors composed of 16 board members; and members and prospective members. In addition, an advisory panel comprised ASAE & The Center members will design scenarios based on how they believe global trends could shape the industry in the next five to 10 years.
ASAE & The Center is currently seeking young professionals, 30 years old and younger, to participate in the program.
