The Dover Downs Hotel & Casino was recently honored by the Delaware Green Lodging Association.
A Green Team was established at the 500-room hotel. It has implemented a number of green practices, including using green cleaners, recycling, plans for water and energy conservation, installation of high-efficiency appliances and tracking and controlling energy consumption.
The Green Lodging Association is a joint initiative by the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control and the Delaware Hotel & Lodging Association to promote pollution prevention practices in the hospitality industry.
