Marriott International unveiled its GoThere Virtual Meetings studios at two hotels in New York and Bethesda, Md.
GoThere Virtual Meetings allows groups to meet and collaborate in multiple locations worldwide in real time. By combining high-definition video, real time audio and interior design in the studios, Marriott’s goal is to make groups feel as if they are actually gathered together in the same room across a virtual table. The hotel partnered with Cisco and AT&T to develop the virtual meeting concept.
Marriott has plans to expand to 25 hotels around the world in a first phase, including the JW Marriott San Francisco; JW Marriott Marquis Miami; Renaissance Washington, D.C.; Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway; and the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport Marriott.
The hotels that debuted Marriott’s GoThere Virtual Meetings studios were the New York Marriott East Side Hotel and the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center.
