More Flights Announced for Grand Rapids, Mich.

Three carriers are slated to connect Grand Rapids to more destinations this spring.

AirTran Airways will begin new nonstop service from Grand Rapids to Baltimore and Orlando, as well as to Tampa and Fort Myers, Fla., beginning May 4.

Allegiant Air will expand service in Grand Rapids to include service to Myrtle Beach, S.C., beginning April 27. Additionally, Frontier Airlines will offer new daily nonstop service between Grand Rapids and Denver, effective May 14.

“This is very exciting news for Grand Rapids. We are especially encouraged by the enormous potential it presents for new convention business,” said Doug Small, president of the Grand Rapids/Kent County CVB.
