SMG, a convention and entertainment management firm, will continue to manage the Shreveport Convention Center, after a unanimous approval from the city council.
“We are very pleased to be a part of the overall success of Shreveport’s hospitality industry,” said Doug Thornton, SMG’s senior vice president.
SMG has provided full management services, as well as preopening services, for the Shreveport Convention Center since it opened in 2006.
