Hampton Inn & Suites Jekyll Island recently opened here, making it the first new hotel to be built on the island in 35 years.
The 138-room hotel boasts a number of eco-friendly features, including the planting of new live oak trees, the installation of a rainwater irrigation system and solar panels on the south roof to heat water and many other green elements. The property includes an elevated walkway with beach access.
