The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte was awarded LEED Gold Certification.
The 146-room hotel opened last October with a number of eco-friendly features, including a green roof that is home to the chef’s herb garden and two new fully contained bee hives, which will assist in pollinating the plants and provide all-natural honey for the hotel.
The property offers a wellness center, a fitness center and more than 12,000 square feet of meeting space.
