Meetings and leisure travel in New Orleans has not been affected by the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, the New Orleans CVB announced.
The city is welcoming hundreds of thousands of leisure and business travelers for Jazz and Heritage Festival, as well as the Digestive Disease Week citywide convention.
New Orleans is located about 100 miles inland, and there is no expected disruption in guest service or impact to visitors, according to the CVB. The Triumph, a Carnival Cruise Line ship, docked in New Orleans over the weekend as scheduled.
