Juan A. Ochoa, CEO for Chicago’s Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority (MPEA), announced he is resigning.
The authority owns and manages McCormick Place and Navy Pier.
Ochoa said he will move on to lead a major national initiative on immigration reform. The effective date has not been determined. Ochoa said he wanted to ensure that he did not become a political obstacle in achieving the reform he advocated to cut costs at McCormick Place.
