Ground has been broken on the new Trade, Exhibition and Event (TEE) Center downtown here.
The TEE Center will offer 38,000 square feet of exhibit space to complete the Augusta Convention Center, located on the Savannah River.
The $38 million center will be attached to the Augusta Convention Center, which offers 49,000 square feet of existing meeting space, and the 372-room Augusta Marriott Hotel and Suites.
Opening is scheduled for spring 2012.
