The Renaissance Syracuse Hotel here will begin an extensive renovation and conversion to the Crowne Plaza flag.
The 279-room hotel will become the Syracuse Crowne Plaza in mid-August and begin renovations in September that will include upgrading all guest rooms and public spaces, as well as enhancements to the exterior. The renovation will occur in phases to minimize potential guest disruptions.
Additionally, Mark Zimmerman, a 30-year hotel veteran, has joined the hotel as general manager. His career includes more than 17 years with Marriott International.
