The Waikiki Edition, the first hotel in a new boutique brand created by hip hotelier Ian Schrager in partnership with Marriott International, is up and running in Honolulu.
A conversion of the former Ilikai Yacht Harbor Tower, the new property offers 322 guest rooms and eight meeting rooms with a total of 18,000 square feet of space.
Highlights of the hotel include a contemporary Japanese fusion restaurant operated by Chef Masaharu Morimoto, a nightclub called Crazybox, an outdoor movie theater showing first-run movies and videos, a fitness program featuring surfing exercises called Surf and Bikini Boot Camp and a private beach with a lagoon.
