An agreement was reached between developers and the San Diego Port District that is expected to pave the way for a long-awaited development that would include two hotels on a waterfront site in downtown San Diego near the convention center.
The developers agreed to provide more park space at the site and to reduce the height of the hotels towers. The two properties, which are expected to open in 2014, are part of the North Embarcadero Visionary Plan, which has been in the works for 12 years.
