Vegas Sands Corp. Partners with InterContinental

The Venetian and Palazzo resorts in Las Vegas are to be affiliated with the InterContinental hotel brand early next year, following am agreement reached this week between Las Vegas Sands Corp. and InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG).

The ten-year agreement means that meeting planners will be able to book meetings at the Palazzo and Venetian through IHG sales offices and that guests at the resorts will be able to earn points and redeem them for stays at IHG properties. Guests at IHG hotels will be able to do the same for stays at the Vegas resorts.

According to Michael Levin, president and chief operating officer of Las Vegas Sands Corp., the alliance, by giving the resorts access to the IHG’s global sales network and database, “will bring an entirely new set of customers to our resorts and provide us with an opportunity to fill additional room nights.”
