The Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa, Calif., broke ground on a $40 million expansion that will more than double the size of the resort.
Scheduled for completion in April 2012, the expanded resort will include an additional 165 guest rooms, bringing its total to 320, and a new conference center that will bring total meeting space to over 50,000 square feet. The expansion also includes a new recreation lounge with bowling lanes and pool tables, a fitness center, a croquet lawn and outdoor event space.
