The Crowne Plaza Five Seasons in downtown Cedar Rapids, Iowa, will close down at the end of February to allow for a major construction project that will turn the hotel and adjacent U.S. Cellular Center arena into a new convention center complex.
The city of Cedar Rapids is purchasing the 271-room hotel, which had been in foreclosure, from creditor CWCapital LLC.
