A federal bankruptcy judge granted a request from owners to rebrand the former Pittsburgh Hilton the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown.
The 713-room hotel, the largest in Pittsburgh, is in bankruptcy and has been without a brand affiliation since Hilton terminated its franchise agreement with the hotel in September. The judge approved a 15-year franchise agreement between Wyndham and the hotel’s owner, Shubh Hotels Pittsburgh.
Wyndham has added the hotel to its reservations system and is lending Shubh $1 million to complete renovations to its exterior.
