Citing greater demand than previously anticipated, Colliers and PKF Hospitality Research edged up their earlier forecast for U.S. hotel performance in 2010 and reaffirmed an optimistic outlook for 2011.
A recently released report forecasts that lodging demand will grow 7.8 percent in 2010, nearly four times greater than the 2.0 percent increase in hotel supply, resulting in a 5.7 percent increase in occupancy.
