The San Jose City Council voted unanimously to seek a new operator for the city's convention center, replacing Team San Jose, the city's CVB and manager of the facility since 2004.
According to a report in the Silicon Valley Business Journal, numerous council members voiced dissatisfaction with the way Team San Jose has operated the San Jose Convention Center, citing budget deficits and insufficient convention bookings.
