The Escondido [Calif.] City Council has agreed to supply funding for the Escondido Chamber of Commerce to start up a new CVB to replace the San Diego North CVB, which shut down in August after transferring marketing duties to the San Diego CVB.
Plans for the new bureau include hiring a destination marketing professional to promote the city to both the leisure travel and group market.
