The Crowne Plaza Five Seasons Cedar Rapids closed down for a major renovation scheduled for completion in late 2012.
The hotel, which is owned by the city of Cedar Rapids, will reopen with a new name and be part of a new convention center complex. Ground is expected to break on the convention center in August.
