Miami’s city commissioners voted to support a plan to renovate and expand the Miami Beach Convention Center.
The $640 million project, which still faces other hurdles such as financing, would double the size of the facility from 1 million to 2 million square feet and include the construction of a 1,000-room headquarters hotel.
