Kalahari Resort in Sandusky, Ohio, broke ground on a $22 million expansion that will more than double the size of its convention center.
Set for completion in December, the project will give the resort a 215,000-square-foot convention center, increasing its capacity from 2,200 to 5,200 attendees. The expansion includes a 38,000-square-foot grand ballroom, a junior ballroom, an outdoor plaza and 14 meeting rooms.
