Architect Ron Mabry, who has agreed to buy the former Carlton Hotel in downtown Tyler, Texas, from the county, has plans for a major renovation that would turn the property into an upscale hotel with 30,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space.
Mabry also plans to remodel the former Elks Lodge across the street, which would provide additional meeting and banquet space.
