The Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA)expects the month of March to show an 18.3 percent drop in the number of visitors from Japan, according to a recent report.
At the same time, HTA said it plans, along with marketing contractors and industry partners, to implement programs to increase travel to Hawaii from North America and other parts of the world to offset the shortfall.
